Through regular blog posts I will share my own small town stories, along with a corresponding leadership lesson. I also look forward to sharing stories of others who have lessons from their upbringing in a small town.

What can you expect from my posts? Since these posts will be created in real time from all corners of my memory, you can expect part “Dear Diary”, part nostalgia, humor, awkward adolescent stories, dinner table conversation, and above all gratitude. I am forever grateful that I grew up with the supporting and loving parents and sister that I did and will probably share things on this blog that they don’t even remember, but are seared in my memory. I am also grateful for Republic, Ohio and the greater Seneca County community where I spent my first 18 years. Even though I haven’t lived there in over 15 years, I carry the people, places, and values with me everywhere. That is the inspiration for Small Town Leadership.
